People would say I am the luckiest guy they know. Guilty. I’ve had many adventures that have led me down a long and varied path in life. An artist mother and a business father was a nice beginning. Born in Canada and raised in the USA to foreign parents we traveled quite a bit. Happily married with two children and living in West Orange NJ since 1998.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in NYC with honors I started my career assisting photographers in NYC. I helped write a book on assisting, developed a seminar series, and a job referral service for assistants. Next up, a stint working inside of Life magazine for photographer Gjon Mili. Upon his passing I went to Europe for a 2 month sabbatical to shoot but ended up returning almost 5 years later. Working out of London as a photographer shooting production stills in the television industry, I also supported myself as a gaffer on film and tv shoots. Being Canadian I was allowed to work legally in the UK.

On my return to New York I went into TV production and post production at ICM Films. Next up, a tech job at Editel NY and LA, which were then acquired by Unitel. I was responsible for building, operating, and training staff in their Mac based graphics suites in NY and LA. I was hired away by Virgin Digital’s E-Magine as an engineer and IT support person until they closed the division. Berwyn and Outside Editorial followed as senior IT technologist and Avid support technician for 7 years. A brief 2 year stint at Whitehouse post in a similar role until a merger made me redundant. Since 2008 to present I am a supervisor in the technical maintenance department for CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman. After Dave's retirement I kept my role at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I am Avid ACSR certified. Freelance clients include Bizbash Media and I was recently hired by Cinemagram to shoot the London 2012 Olympics for NBC.
